After updating Roundcube from 1.4.10 to 1.4.11 when trying to access https://mydomainname.com/mail as well as https://mydomainname.com/adminer or even just https://mydomainname.com I get an "502 Bad Gateway" error.

I am able to access https://mydomainname.com/iredadmin, https://mydomainname.com/SOGo and even https://mydomainname.com/netdata.

Here are the relevant error log entry for Nginx for Roundcube as well as adminer.

Roundcube:

2021/02/21 07:49:57 [error] 17607#17607: *9226 connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream, client: xx.xx.xx.xx, server: _, request: "GET /mail/ HTTP/2.0", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9999", host: "mydomainname.com"

Adminer:

Hi all!

Greetings from Venezuela. I have been very interested in the package and I am putting it to work within our company, even though at the moment we cannot afford the PRO version, an excellent job they have done for us. Congratulations.

Step to suggest certain things that I have noticed within the different packages that are installed, for my part I have installed version 1.3.2 but I have modified the files to install the latest versions of the packages available from github for iRedAdmin, Roundcube, Nginx, iRedAPD and others.

The installation has been made complete and functional, but I have noticed that in iRedAdmin the translation for Spanish is poor, I would like to help improve it.

In my case that I am from Venezuela, the timezone is wrong, since America / Caracas is set to -04: 30 and currently it is -04: 00, although I corrected this error, it does not accept it in the iRedAdmin panel, I do not understand why who does not accept it.

I also suggest creating the installers with your language, since this way you can reach more people/users, in which case I am available to help for this purpose, it would be to create the language files for the installed iRedMail and start translating the variables and the information, a more robust component would be created in my opinion.

Kind regards...

Good morning!

I have a little problem with my e-mails. We have about 18 domains and we are slowly migrating to GSuite (Google).

I'm having problem with 1 domain. We managed to migrate every account and message to GSuite and set the correct DNS, MX and all the other necessary records.

When all the messages were being delivered to Google, we disabled the domain in our IRedMail Server. But here is the problem: when we send any message using another domain that is in our server, it won't be delivered to the Google server, even with the destination domain disabled in our IRedMail.

It's like the server is still considering our domain as internal, even if it is disabled.

How can I fix this? I would not like to delete the domain yet, I thought when I disabled, it would understand that It should be delivered to the external domain.

Thanks in advance

I got weird problem: cannot login to accounts in Roundcube (all other IMAP/POP3 clients works ok).
In roundcube logs I see:

tcpdump at lo0 shows no attempts to connect nor to port 143, nor to port 4190.

I'm confused why there is '' at mail_host and username in SELECT query? What can be wrong?

Hi,

I need to create 85 email accounts at once using the same password for all of them to be able to migrate data from Zimbra.

My question specifies which file to use for the creation of the accounts the file create_mail_user_OpenLDAP.py or create_mail_user_OpenLDAP.sh, with the .sh file a domain is created and I do NOT need to create the domain. Besides them, when creating the accounts in LDAP, are they also created for postfix and / or roundcube?

I would like to create the accounts in all the necessary databases and in LDAP at once and migrate everything from zimbra. I hope I have explained well.

Thanks a lot

Hi,
i am looking at a way to eliminate some additional spam.
In my particular situation I have a number of email addresses that are no longer receiving any useful email but that have been harvested by spammers over the years. I would like to trigger something when an email is received by one of these addresses and automatically tag as spam anything that comes from the same IP address for, let's say, the following 24hrs.
I think this is possible, maybe with a bit of custom code, I might be bale to write some of the code myself, but I need a bit of help understanding how to hook it up to iredmail.
BTW, i would rather silently discarding all messages, rather than blacklist the IP, they would simply change IP based on the spammers behavior i have observed. But I'm happy to ear arguments for doing it the other way, if anyone has experience about it.
Thank you.

Hello,

my iredmail server is fail2ban'ing one of our networks, I suspect one of our VMs had an issue during an update and is frantically trying to flood the mail server with emails about how something is wrong; problem is, I'm currently locked out of iredmail, I can get into the command line no problem, and in `/etc/fail2ban/jail.conf` I set 'ignoreip = 11.22.33.444`, however, `systemctl status fail2ban` still returns `fail2ban.actions [24925]: NOTICE [postfix] Restore Ban 11.22.33.444`, this leads me to two questions, firstly, is there a way I can whitelist our own WAN IP as to prevent this from happening in future? And secondly, how can I see which address postfix is being flooded with failed connections by, so  I can go in and actually fix the server that's flooding our mail server?

Additionally, I've run `sudo python3 /opt/iredapd/tools/wblist_admin.py --add --whitelist 11.22.33.444 @` and ensured `amavisd_wblist` is listed under enabled plugins under `/opt/iredapd/settings.py`

Guidance on getting to the root cause of this issue and whitelisting to prevent this from happening in future, both greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Derian

Hi,

I am getting complaints from customers that legit mail from o365 is being rejected.

One of the bounce messages contains the following:

Error Details
Reported error:  554 5.7.1 <NAM04-MW2-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com>: Helo command rejected: Host not found
DSN generated by:        DM5PR1801MB1961.namprd18.prod.outlook.com
Remote server:   mail4.example.com

This is the 3rd time I have run into this problem.
Below are the 3 hosts involved:
NAM04-SN1-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com
NAM04-BN8-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com
NAM04-MW2-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com

I have whitelisted the above but I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this?

I just checked again and NAM04-SN1-obe.outbound.protection.outlook.com now has an A record but the other 2 do not.

Is there a better way to handle this type of thing. I feel like this is going to be like playing whack-a-mole.

Tom

Hi,

I have looked for how to redirect from domain.tld/mail/ to mail.domain.tld/ and I still have not been able to achieve it.

I have read that deleting the index.html from /var/www/html/ but that does not work for me.

How can I do it, what should I configure or "deconfigure" to achieve it ...

Thank you very much in advance.

which services can we use ::1 instead of 127.0.0.1?

Many iRedMail services are bound to 127.0.0.1, but I would expect that at least some of them would work just fine bound to ::1 (IPv6 loopback).

As the Internet is migrating to IPv6, I am trying to use IPv6 wherever IPv4 is not needed (my sshd only listens on IPv6, since I only administer it via IPv6).

Can you advise which of these services can be bound to ::1? And can you provide instructions to do that?

These services are listening on 127.0.0.1:
mysqld
amavis
dovecot
uwsgi (mlmmjadmin)

Please enable IPv6 on *.iredmail.org and *.iredmail.com.

At present, forum.iredmail.org, www.iredmail.org, and www.iredmail.com only have DNS 'A' records (IPv4), but none of those have DNS 'AAAA' records (IPv6). It looks like the IPv4 address (139.162.146.87) for those hostnames belongs to Linode, and Linode has supported IPv6 for a long time, so I would think it should be simple to enable.

Thanks!

Hello, thank you for your attention now.

I use iRedMail with relay to SES Amazon and until a few days it worked perfectly, but in a few days now (without me making any changes to the server) it stopped receiving emails. I can still send emails email normally, I get emails when sent from user to user inside the server. I just don't receive emails when coming from external servers (like gmail, outlook).

MX records are correct and configured, I did not change them and before I received normally. FQDN is configured, firewall OK (all necessary ports open, I even disabled the firewall to test).

I don't get any errors in the postfix, iredmail and dovecot log files. Simply no mistake. When I try to send from gmail to my server the message says to be sent and it just doesn't return any error in gmail.

mlmmj bouncing messages - certificate configuration?

I recently upgraded from 0.9.8 to 1.3.2 using the upgrade script, which appeared to run without error.  I thouoght that the upgrade was successful, there is no problem with normal email delivery.  I just noticed that /etc/iredmail-release has not been updated, I don't know what is going on there, bu it may not be related to my current problem.

My email server is small, only used by myself and family, and I host email for a couple of small non-profit organisations that I am involved with.  The server is configured for about 4 domains, each with certificates and DKIM, this has been working well for years.

After the upgrade, I configured an mlmmj email list for a small group of users.  This seemed to work, but when an email is sent to the list the sender oten gets a reponse like:

To: me@domain1.com
From: list@domain2.com
Subject: Bouncing messages from list@domain2.com

Hi, this is the Mlmmj program managing the <volunteers@artforlife.nz>
mailing list.

Some messages to you could not be delivered. If you're seeing this
message it means things are back to normal, and it's merely for your
information.

Here is the list of the bounced messages:
- 2

Firstly it would be nice to know more about the non delivery, what is the "-2" at the end?  The number changes.

In the server mail log, I see (with a few names changed for anonymity):

High CPU usage by mySQL

In NetData, mySQL always use 100% of CPU (= 1 core of CPU, see attachment). When use top command,  mysqld always use 100% of CPU. RAM usage is low for mySQL and is normal.

In NetDate, it also noticed InnoDB Buffer Pool Requests have very high reads value (see attachment). Not sure if this is related.

The email server is working fine. Any way to troubleshoot this high CPU usage issue?

Thanks!

No problem this time, just questions. The version I'm running is about a year old and I want to upgrade it. Would it be easier to do the micro-upgrades in order to become current, or to load a new server and migrate the data? If I migrate the data, accounts, mail, etc., can I still use the original server while I'm verifying the new one? I haven't done anything like this before on a Linux system and would like to test and become comfortable first.
