After having all my email rejected for a time yesterday due to the spamcop.net domain expiration I started investigating how to prevent this in the future.  The recommendation was to verify the IP returned from bl.spamcop.net was 127.0.0.2 and not just any valid IP.

How would I best implement this?

When I try to froward email to gmail it doesn't work, I made a filter in roundcube and nowthing.

Also when I add alias I get mail back userunknown or when I try to send email on alias from user account I get
Recipient address rejected: User unknown (Code: 550) in /opt/www/roundcubemail-1.4.9/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube.php on line 1702

I had a working installation under Ubuntu 18.04 and upgraded the distro to 20.04.2.  Now I'm unable to access any mail with Sogo (Roundcube is not installed).  The basic error seems to be the following:

Hi all,

Following the full iRedMail installation on Ubuntu 20.04 as per the awesome walkthrough guide, i am ready to implement a commercial Secure Email Gateway product in order to get additional security features for both incoming and outgoing email.

Can you please guide me to the changes i need to make in order to achieve this incoming/outgoing redirection to the Secure Email Gateway server?

Hi guys, i installed  iredmail latest version a weeks ago and dovecot logs are empty from the beginning, however logs in /var/log/syslog are correctly but i need this separate for better visualization. Tried deleting logs and restarting rsyslog but nothing.
I would appreciate if anyone could tell me what's wrong, Thanks in advance.

I have a domain with iredmail and gsuite accounts.

from gmail I can send mails to iredmail accounts, but in iredmail I can't send mails to gsuite

I get an error on unknown user

How can I ignore the local directory when I send emails?

I upgraded iredmail from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2.

After upgrading iredadmin, domains and accounts list are empty.

Is there a know issue about this ?

FreeBSD ports instead of pkgs?

is there any reason why on FreeBSD ports are used instead of packages? Are custom build option needed?

poudriere and manage your servers’ ports from that repository. Upgrading
ports directly installed on a host is annoying and difficult. Tools like port-

Hi, I have to migrate the content of an iRedMail server by imapsync.
Is there a way to have a master account that can have access to the other mailboxes so to use it for --authuser1 imapsync option?

This way I do not have to know all the account passwords.
I know very little about this server.
Sure it's old!!!
I have access to iRedAdmin and the shell as root user.

New installation on fresh Ubuntu 20.04 with fresh iRedmail 1.3.2.
Cannot login to iredadmin page, receivind 500 internal server error.
Tried to run iredadmin.py from /opt/www/iredadmin and receiving following stacktrace :

Hi,

I have a system with public IP with custom software (we cannot use authentication), from which I would like to send emails to our partners. I have created an mail account for that system and I have configured the mail address of our mail server, which is on the same public IP as this system. I have added the public ip of that system into /opt/iredapd/settings.py with MYNETWORKS = [ 'public ip' ], into this file /etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre the actual hostname of the machine, using the examples, which I found.

I have also added in here /etc/postfix/sender_access.pcre  the IP address of the system and the email address again using the formats mentioned into iredmail documentations.

I have whitelisted also the public IP into /etc/postfix/main.cf mynetworks parameter.

Also, permit_mynetworks was added on top of various sender restrictions.

No matter all that, when I try to send an email from that system, inside the mail server i see this:

Please advise what can be done, so that systems, for which we cannot use smtp auth and tls, to be able to send email outside to our organizations?

is it possible to set default permissions to personal calendars in SOGo? For all authenticated users I'd like to have:

* show all for public entries
* show date & time for private entries

Hi,

I'm trying to set a default email signature for all users. Therefore I've found this command:

sogo-tool user-preferences set defaults 'myuser@example.com' SOGoMailSignature '{"SOGoMailSignature":"Greetings from iRedMail"}'

It runs without error and the following command:

sogo-tool user-preferences get defaults 'myuser@example.com' SOGoMailSignature

also returns:

<0x0x55c718b5e890[SOGoCache]> Cache cleanup interval set every 300.000000 seconds
<0x0x55c718b5e890[SOGoCache]> Using host(s) '127.0.0.1' as server(s)
SOGoMailSignature: "Greetings from iRedMail"

But I cannot see the signature when writing a new email. Also I cannot see it in the SOGo web settings (settings->e-mail->IMAP).

Any idea what's wrong?

How can i create an email address that can only send out emails but cannot receive... in that if some one sends an email to it gets a bounce back message with custom mail saying that this adress can't receve any mail  ?

Is it necessary to have DSN A record for postmaster leading to mail server IP?
Cause I have a postmaster@mydomain.xy which A record leads to another server which hosts my web server. so A record is not the same as other e.g. MX records. Is it ok or not? On first look it works. I can send and receive emails but I am not sure if it is correct. Thanks for any help.

iRedAPD's 'CHANGE_PASSWORD_NEVER_EXPIRE_USERS' list *must* exist!

I'm not sure this qualifies as a bona fide 'bug report', but as I have just spent the better part of two days troubleshooting, it deserves some attention!

Symptom: iRedAPD module 'ldap_force_change_password' seems to have no effect, no matter how invoked.

Solution: I found (strictly by accident) that one MUST NOT delete the line defining this empty python list ('CHANGE_PASSWORD_NEVER_EXPIRE_USERS') at the bottom of iRedAPD's 'settings.py' file. Since our organization doesn't really care to expire passwords on a regular basis, no one needs exclusion. Expiry is only used for new accounts, and occasional forced changes. So I deleted that line some time ago in the interest of brevity.

It was only after hours of troubleshooting that I copied the whole iRedAPD directory from another test server, compared several files, and noticed this difference. Thinking I might actually want it after all (someday?), I copied it back into the settings.py...and upon restarting, suddenly 'ldap_force_change_password' module worked! (:facepalm:)

@devs: Seems to me it really should be possible to have a default value in your code, which is overridden by this value in 'settings.py'. That would have saved me a LOT of time...and some hair! ;-)

I have created account noreplay@domain.xy. Sending/Recieving emails is ok. But I need to block sending messages to this account and I don't see any option to do this in iRedMail admin nor in RoudCube. How can I do it?

how can i  make apache load roundcubemail? i have managed to get nginx to run on IP1 & apache to run on IP2. what would i need to configure in apache virtual host conf to allow roundcubemail to load?
