Dear friends
I have installed iRedMail on my new mail server and I can't recieve mails.
Sending mails works good.
Maybe it's a problem with dovecot?
Important: my POP3 port is 995. SMTP-25

/var/log/dovecot.log (all addresses have been changed):

Oct 13 11:02:54 pop3-login: Info: Login: user=<admin@domain.com>, method=PLAIN, rip=192.168.0.127, lip=192.168.0.125, mpid=4695, TLS, session=<aAeK3/c$
Oct 13 11:02:54 pop3(admin@domain.com): Info: Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0
Oct 13 11:02:54 pop3-login: Info: Login: user=<admin@domain.com>, method=PLAIN, rip=192.168.0.127, lip=192.168.0.125, mpid=4697, TLS, session=<V+GP3/c$
Oct 13 11:02:55 pop3(admin@domain.com): Info: Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0

MX record is correct.
What should I do to fix it?

Some of my user are forwarding email to another email account.

I know we can automatically add a disclaimer for a domain. But would it be possible to prefix the subject of the email or add a specific header information so they can sort it at the user level ?

Hi, Could you please GUIDE me, I'm professional script kitty.

I have two domains : first.cc, second.cc

I have setup iRedMail for first.cc. (sending, recieving email works, all configured ssl etc all good).

Now I want second.cc to be able to send and recieve. So I did this :
Go to : "first.cc/iredadmin/create/domain" and add second.cc
Then : add postmaster@second.cc email box.
Then tested postmaster@second.cc, and I can send email.
Then Tested postmaster@second.cc, and I can't recieve emails.

My DNS of second.cc :
*    A    IP-of-second-server
@    A    IP-of-second-server
localhost    A    127.0.0.1
mail    A    IP-of-first.cc
@    MX    10 mail.first.cc.
@    TXT    "v=spf1 mx mx:first.cc -all"
dkim._domainkey    TXT    "v=DKIM1; p=KEYYYYKEYYY"

Could you please tell me, what have gone wrong ? Why i cant recieve emails to postmaster@second.cc ?

Hello there,

All of the sudden, SMTP has stopped working.  This particular server has been purring along happily since 2011, with little more than the occasional update.  It is due soon to be decommissioned in favor of a shiny new Centos 7 machine, but that migration is still months away.

I'm not sure what's going on.  Last night, mail was sending just fine.  This morning it isn't and I'm getting this error in the /var/log/maillog file:

Oct 14 03:38:42 mail2 postfix/smtpd[32700]: fatal: unsupported dictionary type: issue
Oct 14 03:38:42 mail2 postfix/master[32612]: warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd pid 32699 exit status 1
Oct 14 03:38:42 mail2 postfix/master[32612]: warning: /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling

I thought a restart of postfix might fix things, but it does not, and searching google and the forums here doesn't turn anything up.

Since no changes were made to the server yesterday, I'm at a complete loss as to what could be going wrong.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I've been trying to create an alias and restrict it to only allow mail from certain senders through.  I'm using MySQL as m back end and have the following entry for the list in vmail.alias:

address: listname@domain.com
goto:  currently a single user on another domain that I have access to - will be updated to a comma separated list once working.
name:  blank <- optional name for the list for Pro I'm guessing?
moderators:  comma separated list of one mail domain and one other domain user that should be able to email the list.
accesspolicy: "moderators"
domain: domain.com
islist:  0  <-- What does this setting do?  It was set to 0 by default when I followed the basic instructions for adding an alias.
Created and Modified both: 0000-00-00 00:00:00  <-- will update to add the real time of creation on future entries.
expired: 9999-12-31 00:00:00
active: 1

The list itself does work and forwards mail to my account on another domain but it accepts email from any sender, not just the two addresses that I've listed as moderators.  I've tried mailing it from both local accounts and my gmail account with the same results.  We want to run several moderated distribution lists on this server so any help you can provide for getting this functionality working would be appreciated.

Purchasing iRedMail Pro to manage aliases is planned for the future but for now I have to manage these through the DB directly.

I had changed the cert and key of LDAP to my cert and key. With the same permission of the iRedMail's one.

I had checked online for solution with no luck.

Please help me with this with many thanks.

Our server hosts inbound and outbound for hundreds of customer domains. We wish to route certain recipient domains outbound via secondary IP addresses on the server, based on the destination domain name e.g.

to gmail.com: x.x.x.3

Is such routing possible?

This is not an iredmail only question but maybe someone is having the capabilities to help me?
I've set up an email server using iRedMail on our schools server. As well I've set up ownCloud on the server. Users added to LDAP by iRedMail can login to Owncloud. They can as well see the groups I've added following this guide:

Add mail list with phpLDAPadmin

In the Owncloud-LDAP-groups settings I had to make these settings

(&(|(objectclass=mailList)))

But the users are not associated to their LDAP-groups in Owncloud. Does someone know how to manage this? (You can imagine that it would cost me a lot of time to add them manually in Owncloud)

Thanks in advance!

After a possible intrusion to a an iRedMail / iRedAdmin-Pro server, I built a new server and succesfully migrated all databases to the new server. The server also successfully displayed the open-source iRedMail Admin panel.

However, after trying to upgrade to iRedAdmin-Pro (using 'bash upgrade_iredadmin.sh' from the tools directory), the server returns 'internal server error' after logging in to https://<servername>/iredadmin

The httpd-error log is attached.

Thanks in advance for clues on fixing this.

Since migrating from a previous iRedMail / iRedAdmin-Pro server, the postmaster email address is receiving 5-7 messages per minute with indicating that relay attempts are denied.

I don't need to receive these messages. The old server did not send them, at least not to me (as postmaster).

Hi,

I've discovered a problem with iredmail. I've added a large amount of users using the create_mail_user_OpenLDAP.py script. No I realized that a large group of my users can't login to roundcube. But they can login to owncloud (which is connected to the iredmail-LDAP-server). I've tried some accounts and the error seems to be connected to the password length.
Does Roundcube need passwords with a certain length?
Can I change these settings?
