Hi, I have installed iredmail and was wondering if I could use the ldap users created by iredmail (i.e. Mail Account) to authenticate services in Moodle. Is there any possibility or plugin available as moodle only allows posixaccount binding.

It's possible to restrict SMTP usage of specific authenticated senders to a (list of) IPs?

I'd like to create additional accounts for some (e.g. LAN) users with customised settings (limits) but I don't want this users to be able to use such accounts from WAN.

Hi, I was wondering what is the approriate way of upgrading from an older version (0.8.5) to the latest (0.9.0) iRedMail version.

Is there any specific documentation on this or shall I follow the general documentation (Migrate old iRedMail server to the latest stable release):

Hello!
We are very happy with iredmail, but now we want to expand a little. We want to implement DBMail, so we can store mails in postgresql. I followed the tutorial on the wiki:
http://www.iredmail.org/wiki/index.php? … ckend/RHEL

..but it seems little outdated. The version of dbmail is now 3.1 and some other things are different now.
I didn't try to implement it yet, will try it on test server first, but before I have some questions about the integration:

-is dbmail still supported with the last version of iredmail and iredadmin(in our situation with ldap back-end)?

-do you recommend dbmail and what are it's downsides and does it support all the functions that are default in iredmail that we currently use?

-I noticed that dbmail does not support starttls native. how is then the ssl handled?

-can we migrate all the databases from mysql to postgresql? Users are in LDAP, mysql is just for amavis, roundcube, sogo, iredamin and cluebringer.

We mainly need it for manipulating (mostly selecting) mails through sql and in the future for high availability and scalability.

Thank you very much for your answers!
Greetings from Slovenia

I am writing some scripts to build a Docker image for iRedMail: https://github.com/docker-build/iRedMail
I would like to make an initial installation inside this image, so that the necessary packages
are already installed. I have tried to do this by using a dummy 'config' file and a command
like this: `echo y | ./iRedMail.sh` (see: https://github.com/docker-build/iRedMai … le#L17-20)
However it is not possible to set a FQDN during the process of building an image,
so the installation script refuses to continue.

Is it possible to circumvent it somehow, or at list to download and install all the necessary
packages, without doing all the configurations?

Hi,

I have problems trying to disable spam virus scanning for outgoing mails. It happens that by enabling the option for MYUSERS basically shutdown all spam/virus checking in my server:

I've edited /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user and added the bypass options under $policy_bank

...
$policy_bank{'MYUSERS'} = {
    [... DEFAULT CONFIGURATION HERE...]

    # don't perform spam/virus/header check.
    bypass_spam_checks_maps => [1],
    bypass_virus_checks_maps => [1],
    bypass_header_checks_maps => [1],

}
...

To my surprise, I started noticing a lot of emails coming through which even grandma would recognize as spam and having the "Always insert X-Spam-* headers" enabled in iRedAdmin-Pro and not seeing anything related to SPAM checks in emails headers told me that something had gone really wrong.

Can anyone give me a hint as of to where start looking to make sure that disabling spam virus scanning for outgoing mails does not completely disables external domains email checks?

I saw a related topic about this but didn't helped me. I am trying to send some mails from my iRedmail server using a script with smtp features.
Everytime i send i get the not logged in error in mail.log file. I've changed in main.cf from postfix the  "reject_sender_login_mismatch" with "reject_authenticated_sender_login_mismatch" but still same error.
I've added the server ip to mynetworks = 127.0.0.1/8, xx.xx.xx.xx but then i get Access Denied error.
I trust the mail address that is sending, because it is one i've created specially for this.

TLS is required, but was not offered by host 127.0.0.1

I have installed iRedMail on a virtual machine on Google Compute Engine.
Unfortunately Google blocks email outgoing ports (25 etc.). Instead they suggest
to use SendGrid, which is their partner:
https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/t … ixsendgrid

I followed these instructions, but when I try to send a mail, it doesn't work:

# tail -n 5 /var/log/syslog

Mar 26 16:36:07 m postfix/smtpd[21118]: disconnect from localhost[127.0.0.1]

It says: (TLS is required, but was not offered by host 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1])
Maybe this is not related to SendGrid, but I don't know how to fix it anyway.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks

make config
make install??

Hello, how are u?
I've recently updated php to 5.6 and i think i'm having the same problem as this post.

Do you have any update about that?
If i want to get back to php 5.5, what should i do? I mean, just removing and reinstalling will work or need to do some configuration to have everything working again?

Thanks!

UPDATE:
Found the solution here
nano /usr/share/apache2/roundcubemail/config/config.inc.php
add at the bottom:
$config['imap_conn_options'] = array(
   'ssl'         => array(
      'verify_peer'  => false,
      'verify_peer_name' => false,
    ),
);

$config['smtp_conn_options'] = array(
   'ssl'         => array(
       'verify_peer'      => false,
       'verify_peer_name' => false,
   ),
);

And it works.
