Amavis Bad Header

iRedMail = 1.2 Upgraded by Zhang Huangbin
iRedAdmin-Pro-SQL = 4.3  (Latest Version)
Linux: Debian 10 (Buster)

We have a new HP Nimble SAN and when it tries to send emails, they are being blocked due to a 'BAD HEADER'

I've contacted HP about this - but they have put the blame back on Amavis.

What can I do to allow these emails through our mail servers ?

Thanks
Kent.

Integrating Nextcloud in the installer?

$

Hi Zhang,

i remember you once posted a question in the Telegram Chat if anyone would be interested if Nextcloud would be integrated in iRedmail via Installer.

Well, i would definitely be interested. Seems like a great combination.

So, do you still have the plan to integrate it? Would be nice to hear what you think about it.

What do other users think about it? I see some alreday use a combination and installed nextcloud manually after iRedmail setup.

Best, Alex

Postmaster Account (Newbie Question)

New to iRedmail and just started to use and learn it. So, sorry for newbie question. When I completed the install it creates a postmaster account for the default domain which I used. My question is, should one need to create a specific postmaster account for each additional domain created?

Thanks in advance for your reply/feedback!

Hello,

I want to change the behaviour from amavisd.
I want that all Mails that got checked positive for Viruses, Spam or blocked file extensions or bad Headers or whatever else get's checked get marked in the Subject line and moved to the Spam folder. Right now that only happens to Spam Mails.
I've changed the final destination parameters in the amavisd config to d_pass.
Now i can recive all blocked mails and mails with viruses too and only spam mails get marked and moved into the spam folder. How can I change that also other mails get marked and moved to spam?

Best regards,
Maurice Klein

Hi guys,

So I started having a strange issue today after updating SOGo from the nightly build (current version on my system is 4.3.2.20200515-1). When trying to send mail from the webmail interface, the error below shows up in sogo.log. Same error if I try to send mail from mobile clients connected via ActiveSync:

Google was not very helpful with this. Anyone here can give me a hint?

Hi, ZhangHuangbin, i just recently got a problem about iredmail server, somehow I got banned from yahoo mail server and outlook mail server, i have searched some option to resolve such as

- set DMRAC on DNS
- set DKIM key on DNS
- set SPF on DNS
- Set PTR for rDNS
- check reported spam for my email at Spamhaus and got clear.
- check on mail tester and got 10/10 for email, you can check here for result here

and still, I got banned from those mail providers. this log from mail.log that says i got deferred from outlook and yahoo

Hello, im sitting in front of this Problem now for days big_smile I hope someone here can help me. I would really appreciate!

So I was installing iredmail after this guide https://www.linuxbabe.com/mail-server/d … ail-server on my KVM vServer.

All this worked fine so far. I can log-in on roundcube mail, I can send and recieve mails without any Problems. /netdata/ works fine aswell.

But when I try to access /iredadmin/ I get an 502 bad gateway

nginx error.log

2020/05/16 00:47:04 [error] 598#598: *24 upstream prematurely closed connection while reading response header from upstream, client: XX.XXX.XXX.XXX, server: _, request: "GET /iredadmin HTTP/1.1", upstream: "uwsgi://127.0.0.1:7791", host: "mail.xxxxxxx.net"

Ports are open on iptables (7791)

I thougt its a problem with uwsgi, so I installed it. But the problem still exists!

also /var/run/uwsgi/uwsgi_iredadmin.socket does not exist like mentioned in this Post (https://forum.iredmail.org/topic15374-n … teway.html)

not even the folder uwsgi exits...

So is there a fix for that, because I guess uwgsi is the Problem.

Thanks in advance!

best regards,
Reventex

Hello, this is a fresh install on a debian 10 box, I had just postmaster user created during installation, and tested SOGO, everything was good, so I created my first user and tested sogo again just to  get a "wrong username or password" error

on an extra note, if I log on roundcube either with postmaster or myuser everything is good!

Thank you everyone

Hello,

INFO:
iRedMail    1.2.1
iRedAdmin-Pro    4.3 (MySQL)
CentOS Linux release 7.8.2003 (Core)
mysql  Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.65-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1

PROBLEM:
Getting error on DKIM for missing amavisd.conf -- error line 2216
Example:
amavisd testkeys
Config file "/etc/amavisd.conf" does not exist, at /sbin/amavisd line 2216.

So using:
amavisd -c /etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf testkeys
TESTING#1 domain_name.tld: dkim._domainkey.domain_name.tld => invalid (public key: not available)

Similar to these:
  https://forum.iredmail.org/topic16265-a … found.html
  https://forum.iredmail.org/topic2570-ir … wkeys.html
  https://forum.iredmail.org/topic15391-a … tkeys.html
Reference these:
  https://docs.iredmail.org/setup.dns.html#dkim
  https://www.amavis.org/amavisd-new-docs.html#dkim

Have not tried creating a sym link as of yet.

What is the causing the test to fail (e.g. invalid public key)?
I'm under the impression that the DKIM key hostname does NOT have to be the FQDN but one does have to add the DNS entry into the correct domain.  Can you confirm that the DKIM key creating during install does NOT have to match the FQDN?

Checking the command rpm -ql amavisd-new below.

Seeing more than one amavisd.conf and amavisd-new.conf.

How would one know which config file is being used?
How would one know which repository was used for amavisd-new?

This install is from the Bash installer downloaded with the EPEL repository enabled on a Digital Ocean VPS.
Thank you.

Results from: rpm -ql amavisd-new

I have checked the logs for warning mails sent by our server to mailbox users, i have found the logs in /var/log/dovecot/lda.log.
But strange is, mails are not reaching to user's mailbox. and found msgid=unspecified in logs. PFB

May  5 12:09:35 xxxx-mail dovecot: lda(xxxx@xxxx.in): sieve: from=no-reply@xxxx-mail, envelope_sender=MAILER-DAEMON, subject=Warning: Your mailbox is now 90% full., msgid=unspecified, size=160, stored mail into mailbox 'INBOX'

Same mail log coming while delivering quota mails to our server postmaster account.

Please suggest what could be the reason, as due to the same users mailbox quota is getting full without notification.

Thanks in advance..

Hi there,
I'm needing to use UTF-8 on a FreeBSD Server that is primarily configured for iRedMail.

By default, FreeBSD is not configured to use UTF-8.
Can I ask if anyone is using UTF-8 on FreeBSD with iRedMail?

Here's what I get if I run: $ locale
LANG=
LC_CTYPE="C"
LC_COLLATE="C"
LC_TIME="C"
LC_NUMERIC="C"
LC_MONETARY="C"
LC_MESSAGES="C"
LC_ALL=

I'm intending to enable UTF-8 a system-wide, by following this tutorial
https://www.b1c1l1.com/blog/2011/05/09/ … n-freebsd/

I did a quick search and found some issues with RoundcubeMail and utf-8 encodings and I'm wondering if it is safe to go on with it. Any advice on how best to go about it.

Thanks!

How to provide forgot password for normal users.

My iRedmail version is 2.7.
I want to know how to setup / provide forgot password features in SOGo login page for normal users.
So they can reset password themself instead of connecting to the admin users.
Is it possible?

Hello Zhang,

IMAP and POP3 last login is great to clean old/unused mailboxes.

In our case we use many mailboxes for email sending only (SMTP Auth).
Are these login times logged as well?

AFAIK "last login" feature is pure dovecot.

SMTP last login will be required to be done via postfix.

Any thoughts on that?

Best regards,

Bernhard
