I am new to iRedMail and am trying to install it on Ubuntu 18.04. I have followed the install instructions to the letter and everything installs correctly. However, it seems that Nginx is not getting configured at all through the installation process.

When I look at the sites-available directory there is no evidence of anything iRedMail.

I have checked all error logs and see noting out of the norm.

This is where I am stuck.

Help???

Is there an easy way to do this?

After working several weeks on deployment we placed iRedMail online today for production use.   Within a couple of hours of of being online SOGo became completely unusable.   Errors such as "Gateway error" began appearing when accessing it.   Users who were able to get the login page couldn't login.   SOGo typically accepted users credentials and then hung at the authentication text.

iRedAdmin Pro and Roundcube seem to work very well.

Has anyone seen problems like this with SOGo?   Are their any workaround or fixes?

BTW, the CPU and memory utilization on the server didn't appear to show any problems while this problem was occurring.   iRedAdminPro and Roundcube seemed to perform very well, even when SOGo was having difficulty.

We have about 12,500 users and about 100 appeared to be online simultaneously when the problem occurred.   Mail volume was approximately 16,000 inbound messages and about 400 outbound during the first three hours the server was online.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi, seems after upgrading my host machine to Ubuntu 18.04 I have troubles accessing to ireadmin (Roundcube webmail is working fine).
I think it has something to do with my apache config, but I cannot find any related logs or posts.

My

/etc/apache2/conf-available/iredadmin.conf

looks like

WSGIScriptAlias /iredadmin /var/www/iredadmin/iredadmin.py/
Alias /iredadmin/static /var/www/iredadmin/static/
WSGISocketPrefix /var/run/wsgi
WSGIDaemonProcess iredadmin user=iredadmin threads=15
WSGIProcessGroup iredadmin

AddType text/html .py

<Directory /opt/www/iredadmin/>
    Order deny,allow
    Allow from all
</Directory>

Seems there is no errors in logs (or I cannot find them), but accessing my https://server/iredadmin give me 404 error

I moved my email server away from Woothosting/AlphaRacks - their datacenter is presently dead (google the drama for yourselves if you prefer).  I bought a server from flipperhost.com

I tried to set up 0.9.9, but the install fails on an ngix portion.  I reinstalled 0.9.7 which is what I had before.
The install went fine and I updated my DNS records - mail comes in and goes out.

However, fail2ban keeps tripping on the home IP.

I have set ignoreip to both the current physical IP as well as my DDNS name.
The jailing at first was on the jail for the web browswer - easy enough to fix via ssh.

However, I'm now banned for ssh access - this is bad.

So, how, once I get ssh access back (hopefully), do I track down the problem?

I moved my server to a new hosting company.  The old server is disabled while my old hosting company fights with their provider.

My emails are in an Outlook 2010 .pst file, and the setups are identical (same mail server name, same passwords, same username).

Can I force/will Outlook take the local .pst file contents and sync it (via IMAP) back to the server so that all the 'old' emails show up in SOGo/RoundCube?

If not, is there a good way to go from .pst back to server?

Thanks

Both my old and new server are 0.9.7 with Apache/MySQL and should be configured identically.

I have created the same account names (and passwords).  My attempt to restore from an Outlook pst file failed miserably - the sync was based on the new server's data and the pst file had all its emails deleted (and I copied the wrong pst files to a save place as backup).

So, I'm left with an older backup from the original iRedMail server.

*IF* I copy everything from MailDir down (ie the original structure into the new Maildir) will that work correctly?

The original directory structure was:
vmail/vmail1/[domain]\s\t\e\[wife's directory w/date]/Maildir

new structure is the same, except the directory date is different.

So, copying all of Maildir to Maildir moves the data - is this all I need to do to 'poof' you're back up as of the  backup date?

No SQL commands, no bad index files, etc.?

Help?

$ telnet 0 7790

This only affects the /iredadmin/ url, everything else works fine. This worked at initial install, but after upgrade to 0.9.9, it stopped working. I see lots of other posts about this, but no actual solutions.

It's also worth noting that I don't know why nginx is attempting to connect to something on port 7791 because there is nothing listening there. But I can't find the nginx template for the /iredamin/ URL to see what it is being told to do with those requests.

Also, I don't see an iredadmin service running and no such service file in the /etc/init.d directory so I am not sure if that is the problem. I did not check this all out before upgrading.

What am I missing?

EDIT: I found the nginx template for /iredadmin/ and changed the following line to port 7790 to reflect the port uwsgi is actually running on. I have no clue why it was set to 7791, but it still does not resolve the problem:

How do I create email aliases in SoGo? I see a number of docs on doing so by manual SQL mods, but none of them work. I can successfully create the records I want, but emails to my new alias are still rejected by postfix with a 'user unknown'. Do I need to run some updater script after updating the database?

I am so confused. GMail, outlook and iCloud mark all my emails as spam. I checked with glockapps and I'm not blacklisted anywhere. GMail also says I'm passing with:

SPF:    PASS with IP 157.230.135.73 Learn more
DKIM:    'PASS' with domain pancake.email Learn more
DMARC:    'PASS' Learn more

I also believe my reverse DNS is working fine (domain is pancake.email). And yet I am consistently being marked as spam. Here's some mail headers from my latest test:

Hello,

I got this question of a client that has the need to have autoresponder turned on and off on specific days. (Wednesday and saturday between 8:30 and 12:30)

Is there a way i can sript this in iredamin ?

Just change a state in a file that's it ? or is this more complex?

Thanks.

iRedMail-0.9.9
downloadable installer
Ubuntu 18.04 AWS AMI
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP
- Web server (Nginx):
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? - didn't get that far

When I get to the end of the install everything seems okay. The instruction is to reboot at that point and after that I am no longer able to access the instance. Someone posted that he had similar trouble and that port 22 was shut off so I ran nmap and got this:
Starting Nmap 7.70 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2019-05-25 21:06 PDT
Nmap scan report for ec2-52-53-99-105.us-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com (52.53.99.105)
Host is up (0.057s latency).
Not shown: 89 filtered ports
PORT     STATE  SERVICE

So ssh seems to be open. What am I doing wrong?
