I cloned my mail server and shipped it to a new location.  I now need to update the mail contents with the current mail contents from the old server.  I was going to copy the entire hard drive again but that seems unnecessary and will take a long time to transfer over internet.  What items would you need to copy?  Obviously .../vmail/vmail1 but I don't know what else.

Thanks

Hey there, it's me again.

I want to setup iredmail in a jail again. The installation was done with the local ip address, but the jail is reachable only by ipv6. So I changed the nginx, which is fine now, but the sogod is dying evertime:

Apr 06 10:06:26 sogod [80799]: All products loaded - current memory usage at 0 MB
Apr 06 10:06:26 sogod [80799]: [WARN] <0x0x80be7ba10[WOWatchDog]> listening socket: attempt 1 failed

Apr 06 10:06:31 sogod [80799]: [ERROR] <0x0x80be7ba10[WOWatchDog]> unable to listen on specified port, check that no other process is already using it

In the sogo.conf I changed WOPort to

WOPort = "[ipv6-address]:20000";

Any idea? Sadly there is no documentation by SOGo regarding ipv6 only setups.

Best,
Arne

Hard drive on my day-to-day laptop died, so I lost all the emails that have been downloaded and deleted off the server.  Is there any (easy) way to restore past emails from the past couple of years of daily automatic backups that iRedMail makes (without losing the past day or so of new messages that have come in and haven't been downloaded yet)?  (Yes, I realize that the only messages backed up would be any that hadn't downloaded at the time of the cron job, but anything is better than nothing, right?)
Thanks!

I know this question (through searching) has been posted a lot however, I was unable to find a solution.
When using amavisd-new testkey command, I'm getting a => invalid (public key: invalid data) message. (yes I posted it to my dns. I bought my domain through godaddy)
sorry for the repeat question but I'm still learning all this stuff.

iredmail disable 25 port

Now I have enabled the 465 port, how to ban 25 port, because our server vendor intercepts spam, shielded the 25 port and now can only disable the 25 port. If the 25 port is not disabled, all the mail I sent is unsuccessful, and there is a 25 port connection timeout prompt.

iRedMail firewall settings and OpenVPN

$

I find that iRedMail's implementation of iptables does not allow me to restore the needed forwarding rule for OpenVPN. Specifically, the following is required:

iptables -A POSTROUTING -t nat -s 10.8.0.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE

But if you add this to /etc/default/iptables it gets an error that "-t cannot be used with iptables-restore". Now I swear I had both openvpn and iRedMail working on an earlier server under Debian 8, but I can't figure out how.

The question about adding this rule to iptables was asked before but no working answer was provided.

Thanks!

I have a problem with receiving email from major email servers such as Apple and Twitter. My server can receive email from Google but I have no idea why the mail which Twitter send to me has not been received. When I review maillog under /var/log directory, I couldn't find any error or even any logs.

I have tried to clear the log file. When I send an email from gmail to my mail server, I can see mail logs. But when I send an email from Twitter, I can't see any logs.

Is there anyone here to help me? I can provide extra information which you want.

A few questions before we make a commitment to iRedMail...

1) We are needing to allow our iRedMail users to send to one external domain only and not be able to communicate with each other (i know that is not normal but it is what it is). So in essence, the users can send a receive from this one external domain but not to each other or any other domains. I think i can do this with whitelist of @externaldomain.com and a blacklist of @. but I am not sure. Will that work? Thoughts?

2) If we have an outage and need support, how fast is it usually to get assistance? Hours, days? What time zone is support in?

Any help is appreciated, we are trying to make a decision between this and Zimbra, etc.

iRedMail used for mail relay

====

Im brand new to iRedMail, Im wanting to use it as a relay for many servers (internal and external) to be able to relay email (mostly realtime alerts) with username/password authentication, not just an open relay where anyone could relay mail from this server without some sort of authentication. I just installed it today, was able to log into the https://server/iredadmin, added a user "bsdccu". It looks simple and very quick, but need this for my system.

This is what one of my internal servers shows when trying to relay:

Apr 09 14:46:26 rbu1 sendEmail[15209]: NOTICE => Authentication not supported by the remote SMTP server!
Apr 09 14:46:26 rbu1 sendEmail[15209]: WARNING => The recipient <jbishir@blahblah.com> was rejected by the mail server, error follows:
Apr 09 14:46:26 rbu1 sendEmail[15209]: WARNING => Received:     450 4.7.1 <rbu1.blahblah.com>: Helo command rejected: Host not found
Apr 09 14:46:26 rbu1 sendEmail[15209]: ERROR => Exiting. No recipients were accepted for delivery by the mail server.

Ive googled a little bit, but everything seems to point to having iRedMail AdminPro and enabling forged relays, etc, but  I dont see thats free. I tried adding mynetworks to the /etc/postfix/main.cf and restarting postfix - no luck. Can iRedMail do what I need, or should I look at Zimbra? Thanks

Roundcube (1.3.5) and Sogo (4) are working so it doesn't seem to be an issue with nginx itself.
