Domain alias does not work

==== Required information ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): 0.9.7
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:  Ubuntu 16.04 (all patches installed)
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):  MySQL
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): Nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? yes
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

Hello Zhang,

now in a new post.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Create new domain with a mailbox. e.g. abcde.de
2. Now configure the domain to have an alias "abcde.com"
3. Now send an email to mailbox@abcde.com

I get following error message on my iRedMail installation:

Nov 14 08:10:40 mail postfix/smtpd[16963]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from mail-wm0-f45.google.com[74.125.82.45]: 550 5.1.1 <info@abcde.com>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table; from=<xxx@gmail.com> to=<info@abcde.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<mail-wm0-f45.google.com>
abcde.com is an alias for domain abcde.de

Why is this happening? Postfix seem to igore the alias domain.
I can apply the workaround to create domain, mailbox and forward but I rather would prefer the alias domain to be working.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Bernhard

Demo/Evaluation version of iRedmail for Mobile App

Im planning to setup a iRedmail server as an email server for my mobile application.  My mobile application talks to the email server on the backend.

1) Do you have a evaluation/demo version of iredmail to install and test the features I'm looking for before i can buy the license?

2) I tried logging into the the demo version of iredmail demo online but did not see options for sieve rule filters.  Is there a demo version to test the sieve rules  "searching a particular text on subject field and moving the emails to a folder based on string match globally for all users".

3) What is the difference between LDAP and SQL versions?  What would be the best option in my case as the mobile application will talk to the email server?

4) Do you have API's for the user to signup automatically instead of admin creating the email ids?

After last night's update from 0.9.3 to 0.9.7 (one step at the time, but all done in sequence) I have a problem with the gc.sh script implemented in 0.9.6.

Here is the output I get every night with cron. I get the same output if I run the script manually:

ERROR: [1054] Unknown column 'expires' in 'where clause' (SQL Query: DELETE FROM `cache` WHERE `expires` < now())ERROR: [1146] Table 'roundcubemail.cache_shared' doesn't exist (SQL Query: DELETE FROM `cache_shared` WHERE `expires` < now())ERROR: [1054] Unknown column 'expires' in 'where clause' (SQL Query: DELETE FROM `cache_messages` WHERE `expires` < now())ERROR: [1054] Unknown column 'expires' in 'where clause' (SQL Query: DELETE FROM `cache_index` WHERE `expires` < now())ERROR: [1054] Unknown column 'expires' in 'where clause' (SQL Query: DELETE FROM `cache_thread` WHERE `expires` < now())

Am I just supposed to create the table?

I know this has been asked before.   Suddenly after months of smooth operation I cannot log into my admin panel.  INVALID CREDENTIALS.   Just happened yesterday.    I am looking fo the simplest approach.   I see many answers that are quite complex.  I tried CLI MYSQL changes.  Nothing.   The server works fine.  I just can log into the Admin panel

Is this a certificate problem?

Hi, I've got problem with TLS. I configured my server according to :
https://docs.iredmail.org/install.iredm … buntu.html
I obtained a new certificate from letsencrypt and I added A, MX and DKIM records.
When I log in to webmail using https://email.<mydomain>.tk/mail, I see encrypted page (green padlock in my web browser).
When I'm sending an email to my google account I get my email, but it's not encrypted. I see red padlock in my email.
I've tried to switch on checkbox in roundcube ("Encrypt this message"), but it's causing an error
Encryption failed. Public key not found for <user>@<mydomain>.tk.
Search on key server(s)
Also I've tried "Search on key server" but it doesn't work.
If I use SOGo, the options SSL and TLS are unavailable, I cannot change anything in that section.

If I'm not wrong by default ired mail should use self signed certificate,
but at the begining I didn't recive any encrypted email.

---------------------- httpd End -------------------------

There is only one error-type in the Nginx logging, though - all the same as this:

2017/11/19 18:54:12 [error] 521#521: *101616 recv() failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream, client: {ip-addr}, server: _, request: "POST /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync?Cmd=Sync&User={email-addr}&DeviceId={stripped}&DeviceType=SAMSUNGSMG390Y HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:20000/SOGo/Microsoft-S … UNGSMG390Y", host: "{domain-name}"

I'm having trouble finding out how to reduce these errors.  Can you help?

Thanks!

NOTE: I replaced my actual domain with example.com

Getting this error when issuing the command:
certbot certonly --webroot -d example.com -w /var/www/html

- The following errors were reported by the server:

   Domain: example.com
   Type:   unauthorized
   Detail: Invalid response from
   http://example.com/.well-known/acme-cha … mHiy_XZaw:
   "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
   <html><head>
   <title>404 Not Found</title>
   </head><body>
   <h1>Not Found</h1>

I suspect my problem is related to the fact that all requests to port 80 of my domain are immediately routed to another ubuntu server on my local network.

Any suggestions on how to resolve?

Hi,

I see in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sogo-nightly.list a cronjob "deb https://packages.inverse.ca/SOGo/nightly/3/debian stretch stretch" and in changelog that SOGO is on version 3.3.0
I did an update (apt-get) today and SOGO is updated to 3.2.10 as if the OS were on version 8 (jessie). How can I make the update to 3.3.0 if it is recommended at all.

Second question: When I made the update to SOGO 3.2.10 I get a message, that I have to look into the changelogs because this update doesn't execute changes on the database. Well, there's nothing enlightening DB related in the logs as far as I can see. How can I make a complete update of SOGO including the database?

Regards
Peter

I'm having problems with my e-mails not being received by the recipient. It looks like they are getting sent off properly however. Looking at the log in /var/log/iredapd.log it says "DUNNO" which how I understand it is how it should look.

I tried sending off e-mails with both Thunderbird and the webmail interface. Both fail.

Any ideas?

Hello, can you please quickly tell me how to log into the mySql database of iRedMail? The iRedMail admin user does not seem to work. "root" also doesn't to it.

Hello!

Is there a way to use custom spam tag level for alias accounts?
