I just recently upgraded iRedAdmin Pro to     v2.5.0, and Iredmail to 0.9.6 from previous version

Since i installed iRedMail (like a month ago) i haven't needed to log to mysql, now while making the upgrade i needed to, i checked the tips file for root password, and it wont work, i've double checked it, manually typed it, i can log in to other mysql accounts, root seems to be the only one that i can't login.

I keep getting ERROR 1698 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'

I'm i missing something?

Hello.

I just installed iRedMail, and it seems to work just fine. However, I want it only working at mail.mydomain.com, and currently nginx is redirecting all requests from all domains resolving to my ip to https://domain/mail/ .. It seems iRedMail nginx configuration is taking  over everything.

From what I see all nginx related config for iRedMail is located here: /etc/nginx/conf.d/00-default.conf, and the server name is defined as such: server_name _;

I thought that renaming it to
server_name mail.mydomain.com;
would make it work, but no...

Finally, note that adding sites to /etc/nginx/sites-available and /etc/nginx/sites-enabled does not make any difference neither.

Anyone can help me on this?

Just upgraded from 0.9.5.1 and noticed that the new list of banned and dangerous files in amavisd.conf changed from mime-type to file type. Is there a reason why this change was done? And, is it safe to keep it at the mime type settings which have been working very well for me (specifically blocking all .zip files).

New CentOS 7 server setup with clean install of iRedmail 0.9.5 (since updated 0.9.5.1>0.9.6). AWStats has never worked properly. When trying to log in using the credentials from the initial setup sent to me in the email titled "Subject: Details of this iRedMail installation" it will not authenticate. After changing valid-user to all granted in awstats.conf, I can see the awstats pages, but there is no data -- everything is zero's.

I would also add that any of the .png files in the www.mydomain.com/awstatats/icons/ path do not display.

Good afternoon,

I would like to set up a mail server to act as an alerting system for a network. Some of the monitoring tools and utilities I am looking at have the ability to send email but not authenticate, or have insecure methods to save passwords.

Just to make this easier I am thinking about having an unauthenticated email account for such alerts on a server with no internet access, used only for this purpose. It would simply be emails passing to and from "alerts@mynetwork.local" with messages such as "Low free disk space on fileserver" etc.

Could anyone advise how I might do this? When creating a new email user a password is required. Thanks in advance and regards.

I'm looking to improve my spam blocking with an own iredapd plugin, but I need to access the mail headers.

So far I found the flowing key/values that are available for an iredapd plugin.
Is it possible to get more mail header details in iredapd like "To:, From:, ..." to do some more testings in iredapd?

Getting a red lock icon when sending email to Gmail accounts. On the page of the email, and when hovering over it - it says "examplexx.com did not encrypt this message".

I put this in postfix:

smtpd_tls_received_header = yes

And Gmail headers for the email are showing:

Received: from mail.examplexx.com (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mail.examplexx.com (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id E172C460E2C for <mygmail@gmail.com>; Wed, 15 Feb 2017 17:23:43 -0500 (EST)

It has TLSv1 in the header so I would expect that this means that it is encrypted?

This is on a fresh install of iRedMail with SPF, DKIM, rDNS, and MX all set up correctly.

/var/log/mail.log says:

Feb 15 17:23:43 mail postfix/submission/smtpd[5626]: connect from localhost.localdomain[127.0.0.1]

Hi all,
I have a LAMP ubuntu 16.04 working properly with Iredmail 0.9.6.

My Letsencrypt cert (1 Domain, 2 Subdomains, same cert) are coming up for renewal in three days, I keep getting errors that Letencrypt cannot autorenew.
So I would like to uninstall/reinstall So I can get the autorenew to work.
This is the error:

root@SERV:/home/adminpc# letsencrypt --apache renew
Processing /etc/letsencrypt/renewal/example.com.conf 2017-02-08
21:15:53,425:WARNING:letsencrypt.cli:Attempting to renew cert from
/etc/letsencrypt/renewal/example.com.conf produced an unexpected error: 'server'. Skipping.
All renewal attempts failed. The following certs could not be renewed:
/etc/letsencrypt/live/example.com/fullchain.pem (failure)
1 renew failure(s), 0 parse failure(s) root@SERV:/home/adminpc#

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have a user that is unable to receive mail from another user on the same domain. They are able to receive mail fine from all external domain senders.
